This helps both their offense and defense. Think of the greats such as Ali and Money May. They knew how to use their lower body as much as their upper body. Jump rope is also a great alternative to running if you can go outside because of the weather. Plus, you can bring your jump rope wherever you need to go.

Boxer Pushups

Push-ups strengthen your arms, your back, and your core at the same time. Do them every other day at most with the rest day in between providing the muscles a chance to recover and develop. Find a wide open space in your house such as the living room. Go into plank position with a straight line from your heels all the way to your head. Make sure that your hips don’t sag and your butt does not protrude upward. Your hands should be below your shoulders. Tuck your abs tights throughout the movement. Lower your body until you are just a few inches of the floor, then press until you are halfway up. Go back down again, then go all the way up to complete the rep.

Bicycle Crunches

Lie on your back and bent your knees to your chest. Put your arms on guard to your face. Lift up your shoulders from the floor and twist to your side while the opposite knee is lifted towards you and the other leg extends out. Twist to the other side and switch leg positions. Repeat for as much as 20 reps in quick succession. Make sure to keep your abs tight and your chin close to your chest.
