We are Reglaze My Specs, a small business in the area. We offer Reglazed glasses to customers who have broken or scratched lenses on their glasses. Reglazing is an inexpensive way to fix your glasses and get back out there.
The process of reglazing consists of removing the old lens from your frame, cleaning it off, inserting a new lens into the frame, and then coating it with a special resin that will harden over time. This can be done at home or in our shop for free.

Why do we offer this service?
There are three main reasons:
- Reglazing is an inexpensive way to fix your glasses and get back out there.
- Reglazed glasses often look better than new ones because we can match the lens to the frame perfectly.
- Reglazing is a green option — it keeps old frames out of landfills and conserves resources.
Reglazing provides a more economical solution to replacing glasses. Reglazed lenses are much cheaper than having them replaced by an optometrist, but the process is not as time-consuming or expensive for us.
How does Reglaze My Specs work? The first step in reglazing your broken specs is removing the old lens from its frame using special tools. Once this has been done, we clean off any glue that may be left on your frames and then prepare the surface of your new lenses so they will adhere properly.
Next, our technicians fit each lens into place ensuring that it fits well within your existing frame without distorting its shape or size too greatly. Finally, the last step in the regrowth process includes coating these new lenses with a protective sealant to help keep them in good condition for as long as possible.
Reglazing your glasses can not only save you money, but it also allows you to continue using frames that you may have otherwise had to discard.
If your prescription has changed recently or if the style of your old glasses no longer suits you, reglazing is a great option because new lenses can be fitted into almost any existing frame.
And, if you decide that you want a completely different look, our technicians can easily change the color or shape of your new lenses to give you a fresh new set of specs without having to purchase an entirely new pair.
What do you need?
The only thing you need is your existing glasses and a new prescription from an optician if needed. And that’s it.
Once we receive them, our technicians will reglaze your lenses with either plastic, polycarbonate, or Trivex material depending on the type of frame they’re installed into (plastic can be used in most metal frames while polycarbonate and Trivex are good options for plastic).
